My focus
Below are the main areas that I have identified for improvement. I am constantly researching and updating this list, whether its from feedback from the community, articles from researches in the county, or reports about rural community prosperity. Please reach out and discuss with me, I would love to hear your input.
Economic Stability
Our county needs high paying jobs. Population trends indicate that our high school and college graduates are leaving Iosco county as they can't find work here. As County Commissioner, I will work to bring our tax dollars back into our county by using the programs passed in the Inflation Reduction and Build Back Better acts.

Pure Michigan resources
Our county has some of the most abundant resources in our country. We have major rivers, Lake Huron, and an abundance of forested area. Our economy and recreation depend on the protection of these resources. Issues like the Line-5 oil pipeline, PFAs pollution in our water, etc threaten our way of life. As commissioner, I will fight for our county to keep Iosco clean for us and our children.
Clean Energy
Michigan has a goal to acquire 60% of our state's electricity from renewable sources by 2030. Our current county commission has fought this initiative through resolutions designed to make solar and wind projects difficult in Iosco. It is a fact that renewable energy grids are going to be built somewhere, and Iosco County has a choice to be a part of it, and bring high paying jobs, passive incomes, and cheaper energy into our County, or we can watch while our neighboring counties reap the benefits. As commissioner I will work to make sure Iosco County is a partner for these initiatives, not a roadblock.
Rural Healthcare
Health care options, particularly among the elderly and young are very limited and growing even more limited in rural Michigan. While this problem is difficult and without an immediate solution, I will work on finding quality research-based solutions to this growing issues. There are many grants, funded by our tax dollars, intended to help rural communities address these issues. As County Commissioner, I will use my research background to help guide Iosco county to better outcomes.
